Tom has been a Non-Executive Director of Regent’s Park since it was founded in 2002. He is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of Rowan Companies (Rowan), an offshore drilling company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Rowan and another offshore driller called Ensco have recently announced a merger to create the world’s biggest offshore drilling company by fleet size with 82 offshore rigs in its fleet. The company will have an estimated enterprise value of $12 billion and Tom will serve as the chief executive of the combined company. See press here.
Tom previously worked for Mckinsey & Co., as a strategy consultant and at Schlumberger, an oil and gas conglomerate. Tom previously served in the British Army with the Parachute Regiment.
Tom has an MBA from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar) and holds a PhD in robotic engineering from Trinity College, University of Oxford.
