100% service uptime in managed cardiology services contract

LONDON, United Kingdom, 1st November, 2015: Regent’s Park Cardiovascular Solutions Ltd. (Regent’s Park), an independent healthcare company specialising in the provision of cardiology services to the NHS, announced it delivered 100% service uptime in a managed cardiology services contract at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow, Essex.

Bryn Webber, Cardiac Services Director at Regent’s Park said: “Harlow required a rapid response, and we responded with a modular cath lab and staffing solution within 2 weeks of receiving their request.” He added: “Working closely with their cardiologists’ and staff over a seven month period we delivered a fully managed cardiology service – diagnostics, PCI and pacemaker insertions, five days per week, providing 100% service uptime – a tremendous outcome measure which I believe is an excellent testament to our technical and operational capabilities.”

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust was established in April 1995. It is a medium size hospital with an income of circa £170 million, comprising 420 general and acute beds and providing general acute services, including a 24/7 emergency department, an intensive care unit, a maternity unit and a level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).The Trust employs 2,500 staff and serves a core population of about 350,000 for people living in West Essex and East Hertfordshire.
