About Dr Suresh

Dr Suresh was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist in 2009 and was appointed Membership of the Medical Advisory Committee at Peninsula Heart Clinic in 2019.

​

He completed his undergraduate training and initial cardiology training in India and was awarded MRCP London in 1998.

After an intensive period of postgraduate training in general and interventional cardiology in South-West of England, he obtained my Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).

​

He has conducted research on stem cells showing how they contribute towards the healing of heart muscle after a heart attack. This stem cell research was carried out in Wythenshawe hospital, Manchester. and led to Dr Suresh being awarded an MD by the University of Manchester in 2008.

He has been practicing as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at University Hospitals Plymouth in 2009 and he also performs high volume angioplasties and Transcatheter Aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures with an excellent outcome.

​

He was also part of the key operational steering group between that led to the opening of the Peninsula Heart Clinic.

​

He is a member of the British Cardiac Interventional Society (BCIS), British Cardiac Society (BCS) and Fellow of Royal College of Physicians London (FRCP).
