Dr. Alistair Lindsay appointed head of strategy

LONDON, United Kingdom, 05 January, 2014: Regent’s Park Heart Clinics (Regent’s Park), an independent company specialising in the provision of cardiology services, today announced it has appointed Dr. Alistair Lindsay to leads its Healthcare Strategy Division.


Dr. Alistair Lindsay is a cardiologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK.  He will lead a team of strategy consultants that provide our NHS and industry clients with innovative solutions based on deep sector insight, analytical rigor, and an objective perspective.

Alistair joined the Royal Brompton in 2010 from Oxford where he was the John Radcliffe Hospital Cardiovascular Fellow. His main interest is the use of both invasive and non-invasive techniques to diagnose heart problems and to guide treatment.  In particular he has experience in the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT).  He has published widely and participated in both local and international studies on the diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerosis. Dr. Lindsay currently serves on the editorial board of the cardiovascular journal Heart, for which he serves as the digital media editor and contributes to the journal’s blog.


Alistair holds degrees in Molecular Biology and Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, a DPhil from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from London Business School. In 2010 he was named “Young Trainee of the Year” by the Royal Society of Medicine.
