LONDON, United Kingdom, 8 March, 2013: Regent’s Park Heart Clinics (Regent’s Park), an independent company specialising in the provision of cardiology services, today announced it has been shortlisted to the final bidding stage to provide managed invasive cardiology services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The tender was advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU reference 2012/S 224-369274) in December 2012 and invited bidders to provide a full range of managed cardiology services across the Hammersmith & St. Mary’s Hospital sites in West London. The successful bidder is expected to provide the capital to procure two new cardiac cath labs and provide managed equipment services for new and legacy equipment across all five cath labs suites. In addition, there is a requirement to manage the procurement and logistics of cath lab consumables (stents, guidewires, catheters, devices and pacemakers) as well as to provide systems and clinical data analytics to benchmark cath lab activity with quality standards.
Dr. Ohri, Chief Executive of Regent’s Park said: “We are very pleased to have passed the rigorous pre-qualification criteria and to have been selected from a long list, we believe around twelve, of initial applicants. We understand we are now down to the last two or three that have been invited to participate in commercial dialogue with the Trust.” He added: “Given our track record and experience, these are clearly the type of managed cardiology service contracts that our company is well suited to manage; we look forward to putting our best foot forward in the weeks ahead for what we know will be a highly competitive last round.”
Regent’s Park has been a national provider of cardiology services to the NHS since 2003. The company comprises five operating divisions arranged across a nationwide network of cardiac catheterisation laboratories, cardiac personnel and specialist heart clinics that together have delivered over 65,000 invasive cardiology procedures – coronary angiograms, coronary angioplasty, cardiac electrophysiology, transcatheter aortic valve implantations, defibrillator insertions and pacing procedures. Regent’s Park prides itself on its ability to deliver high quality, cost effective cardiac care, through excellent service, efficient operations management, well trained staff and uncompromising professionalism.
The Regent’s Park guiding philosophy is that every patient with heart disease should have access to healthcare of a world-class standard.
